There is the old line that goes something along the lines of ” If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” And to that I say….Kinda.
When I say shopping will get you paid I’m not lying. You will! Recently EBAY has put out a new rewards program which allows earn a small percent on what you buy.
EXAMPLE: I paid about 10 bucks for a item the other day and earned .22 EBAY Bucks.
So were not talking Benjamins here. BUT I recently discovered a neat site called BigCrumbs!
Big Crumbs is a well established site that is starting to catch on big time with avid/casual Ebay shoppers. On top of the Ebay Bucks you can also earn cash back on purchases through BigCrumbs. So on certain items you could be seeing a substantial amount of kick back.
Now the final part of the puzzle is if you have a PayPal, or some type of credit card that allows you to recieve points or cash back as well with purchases, its not unrealistic that you could be receiving up to 10%+ on items you would have bought ANYWAY.
So now an overview of this mind blowing article on how your getting paid to shop.
1. Buying items on Ebay and receiving small percents back.
TIP: Capitalize on this kick back by offering to buy items for family members and friends who don’t have the time or aren’t internet savvy. (just be sure to get their payment first!)
2. Set up a BigCrumbs account to get additional kickbacks on items that you normally buy.
TIP: Big Crumbs isn’t limited to Ebay! They have THOUSANDS of stores that range from Wal-Mart to Toys R Us! You can even buy online and go to your LOCAL STORE and the same item that is on the shelf. Only difference? You got a cash back percent on that item. (and didn’t have to wait in a line! NICE!)
3. Get a credit card that gives you cash back.
TIP: Be smart. Don’t get a card with a interest rate of 28% so you can get 2.5% back on purchases. If you can get a reasonable rate and pay your card on time than you could potentially save yourself some cash. (while building good credit)
